The Beauchamp family met with Wabasso leadership today to celebrate and memorialize their daughter, Dawna, on her birthday.
In honor of Dawna’s life and to memorialize her passing, the Beauchamp family made a generous financial contribution to the Wabasso School. Their donation will be used to purchase a Phoenix mascot costume, symbolizing the unrestrained and unstoppable spirit of our students and all individuals with exceptionalities. The mascot will proudly bear the name “Dawna.”
Today, we learned that Dawna enjoyed sports, horseback riding, and swimming. More importantly, we learned about the depth and love she gave and received throughout her life.
Happy birthday, Dawna. From your family and your friends at the Wabasso School, we celebrate your life and the lasting impact of your spirit.
The Phoenix will rise in your honor.

🌻 LET’S MEET OUR TEAMS! 🌻
The Sunflower Team
Just as every flower in a garden has its own beauty and purpose, every student brings unique strengths to our school community. 💛
🌻 Sunflowers represent our primary students.
Like sunflowers, they are always growing, learning, and reaching toward the light. They remind us that every small step is worth celebrating and that, with support, encouragement, and patience, every child can bloom in their own way. 🌱✨
We are so proud of our Sunflower Team and the amazing students they support each day! 🌻
Growing together. Learning together. Blooming together. 💛
